(MPF-1B) The Micro-Professor started its life back in 1981, it was the first branded computer from ACER Inc. (formally known as Multitech Corp.)

 

Max D. Soffe (owner of Flite Electronics International, Ltd.) met the ACER Inc. people (aka Multitech Corp.) in 1981, in Japan where they were demonstrating their first branded computer, the Micro-Professor MPF-1 (a Z80 based Microprocessor training computer). Max became the UK Distributor for their products.

 

In February 1993, Max bought the entire rights for the Micro-Professor MPF-1 education training system. The Flite Electronics team also developed other products for the MPU, MCU, FPGA education training arena, alongside the Z80 based Micro-Professor. Max D. Soffe and Co. entered into many relationships with other electronics/computing companies, educational institutions and a wide range of clients.
